Learn. Grow. Thrive.
Hello! I'm Rachel!
Recovery from an eating disorder can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’re feeling stuck in harmful patterns or struggling to find balance in your relationship with food and your body, healing is possible. I specialize in working with young adults struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating, meeting each client where they are—whether they’re taking their first steps toward recovery or have been on this journey for a while. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their recovery.
Using a person-centered approach, I tailor therapy to the unique needs of each individual. I integrate various therapeutic techniques to address not only disordered eating but also co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, and low self-worth. Together, we work on developing healthy coping skills, establishing boundaries, and fostering a healthier relationship with food, body image, and self-care.
I know firsthand how difficult it can be to struggle with food, body image, and mental health. My own experiences have fueled my passion for helping others navigate these challenges with self-compassion and support. Therapy should be a safe place to be real—without fear of judgment. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to meet you there and help you build the confidence and skills to navigate life beyond therapy with resilience and self-compassion.
A little bit about me... I graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina with a Bachelors in Public Health and a Minor in Nutrition and Foods. I later received my Masters in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and am Licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I spend almost all my free time with my daughter who is about to be 18 months. She is my world and encourages me every day to be the best I can be in everything I do. I also loves spending quality time with friends over some iced coffee, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and Irish Setter, Penny.
If you are unsure whether to book an appointment, I would love to chat over the phone to answer any questions you may have and see if we would be a good fit!
